FAMILY TRAITS - UNIT 4 READING 1
Traits are what make family members look alike in some ways. This passage demonstrates ways in which traits may be passed on from parents to children. It also shows that children do not always look exactly like their parents.

traits: a distinguishing characteristic or quality, especially of one's personal 
nature



Adverbs:  Adverbs usually describe the action of verbs. They tell how an action happens. Many adverbs end in –ly.
